Spirit and Truth Fellowship of Knoxville held two special
"Forgiveness Services" on Sunday, April 29 and
Sunday, May 6 at 9:30 A.M.
These services were targeted to women and men who have been negatively
impacted by a decision to go through with abortion procedure. Some
churches offer only condemnation, but our church welcomes
hurting people with open arms! There is healing in forgiveness,
and our God is a God of forgiveness!
"Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." (James 5:16 NLT)
Pastor David Spakes preached a short sermon series titled simply
"Forgiveness". You can watch the full-legnth sermons

Bound by Anger (1) This sermon lays the groundwork for forgiveness by describing the Bible's common sense guidelines for dealing with people who hurt you. Anger can arise from small hurts, big hurts, and very big hurts like the betrayal of a friend. Anger towards oneself can be the biggest of all to overcome. This sermon examines what the Bible says about anger and the guidelines for how to be freed from its bonds.

Bound by Guilt (2) This sermon examines what the Bible says about anger from the perspective of the person who inflicted injury on another. If the injured person does not retaliate, guilt feelings will result. To be set free from the guilt and anger, it is important to make things right, but what if the injured person is beyond reach so that you will never be able to hear the words, "I forgive you"?
